Chuck E Cheese

As you'll see, Owen loves the riding "games" the best

This game may have been a little too advanced for Owen

The chair vibrated quite a bit and he didn't like how it felt on his head.

Looking awfully cool in his ride

This bird walked right up to Owen

He loves Reptiles

This turtle swam right over to us and looked at us

Mexican Beaded Lizard

Rhinoceros Viper (should I be concerned that Owen shows no fear at all to snakes?)

Trying to touch the turtle

Family Photos

These photos were actually taken Fall of 2014, but we didn't show anyone until 2015 because we used them for different things (such as Christmas Cards, etc...).  So here they are:  (some of them)

Swim Lessons

Each time I go watch the Dude at his swimming lessons the pictures do not turn out very well because of where I have to sit.  There is a metal pole type fence in between me and the pool and it is fairly far away so the pics don't turn out well.  But, here are a couple of videos of Owen after swimming lessons playing around (and trying to get Daddy wet).

Christmas Eve Dinner

Chicago - Jan 2015

We had an opportunity to go down to Chicago to be with Grandma & Grandpa Van Ackeren for a Saturday afternoon.  We drove down during Owen's afternoon nap and by the time we were looking for parking he was waking up.  Perfect timing.

Our plan was to go to the Chicago Aquarium, but once we got there we noticed the line coming out of the building was ridiculously long and the wait to get in was I think around 1 1/2 hours.  So, we skipped the aquarium and went for an early dinner at Rainforest Cafe (thinking Owen would love all of the animals).....We couldn't have been more wrong.

Our nice hostess sat us right next to 2 animatronic elephants which started moving and making noises about.......every 7 seconds.  Owen never got used to this and got a little freaked out each (and every) time it happened.  So, he decided he wanted to spend the vast majority of time instead in the gift shop downstairs where everyone took turns watching him while the rest of us ate.

Walking back to a taxi after finding out that the aquarium just wasn't going to happen

Entrance of Rainforest Cafe
(Grandpa's butt is now very wet from sitting on the bench.)

As you can see, Owen will not sit in his chair and one of the infamous elephants is in the background.

A little happier with his frog hat
