M&M Excitement

We aren't completely irresponsible parents.  Despite how the previous posts may have sounded, we didn't give Owen free reign on his Easter candy.  The vast majority of it we are saving to give to him as his dessert after a well eaten meal or a treat periodically.

It is so cute how excited he gets over the littlest things that I decided to video him getting this egg (which has about 5 M&Ms and 1 Rolo in it).

Check out his reaction:

Easter Egg Hunt

Not knowing how the egg hunt would go, we hid a few plastic eggs with M&M's and Rolos in them downstairs.  We gave him a pail and brought him downstairs.  No explanation was needed.  He went crazy....running from one egg to the next.  He was so excited and he didn't even realize that there was something inside the eggs.

Then he discovered his Easter Basket (with candy & other goodies)

New Hat & Lots of Candy

Decided we needed to work off some of that candy on a hike

Followed by a relaxing time on his favorite pillow

Once again HAD to get into these red swings (much to Emily's chagrin
as these were not belted, but rather designed in a way to keep child in)

Discovery World

Owen's 1st trip to Discovery World was a fairly successful one.  While most of the exibits weren't exactly toddler friendly, he had a good time just looking around and participating in the exibits that did interest him.
