Splash Pad -- The Sequel

Finally can reach the handles comfortably

I can hang on it...

Or use it the way it was intended

But my favorite is still...

running from sprinkler to sprinkler.....

like a little, giggling mad man.

No Swim Trunks....No Problem

I guess the lessons learned here are as follows:
  1. Never take your eyes off The Dude.  He's liable to do anything.
  2. He doesn't need trunks to go swimming.
  3. When the mood to swim strikes....he's helpless to fight the urge

I am just going to put my hands in the water...

Well, maybe I'll just sit in the water for a little while

I'm already wet, I might as well go down the slide (head first).

Well worth it

Everything Except "Petting Zoo"

Grandma Humes, Em, and I took Owen to a really nice petting zoo about 30 minutes from our house.  They have different areas set up that you can go into to pet different animals.  Owen decided he wanted to do anything except actually pet animals.  See for yourself:

Won't even look at the pig

Rode a trike

Riding the wooden tractor

Taking a wagon ride (despite Dad's protests)

More interested in the ball (toy for the ducks) than the actual ducks

When actually coaxed enough to pet the duck....he will only use 1 finger

Playing with the train set and .....

...the farm set was no problem but.....

...he did not want to have anything to do with the goats....

...except he was fascinated with an empty goat house.

Another tractor

Beating on the "drum buggy"

Beating on a make shift " drum"

"Do not get me any closer to this llama!!"

And we ended the day with a trough filled with corn to play in

I think I've figured out my million dollar idea.  Build a petting zoo with absolutely no animals.  I'd make a fortune with any kid similar to Owen.

Park Fun

Trying out new daring aspects of the park

Classic swing ride

4 second breather

Making faces at Dad through the hole

Big grin before the slide

New way to swing

Train/Dozer/Trike

Train at the Zoo

New Dozer

Trying out a friend's trike

Beach

Following Dad's advice to work on his "off hand" for pitching.

A few "artsy" photos of Mom & Owen......until........

....this happened

Drying off and eating ice cream

"Mine" and "Elmo"

"Mine" is one of his favorite words.  Everything is "Mine!!!"

Love how he says "Elmo".  He says "Melmo"
