I Told You So

Everyone laughed at me when I got my own personal "manly" diaper bag.  Everyone thought it wasn't necessary.

(OK, not everyone....I actually got a few comments from guys that it was genius and that they wish they had thought of that.)

Last weekend, Em, Owen, and I flew to Kansas City for a wedding.  As we travelled through the airport, Em had Owen in the Baby Bjorn on her chest and carrying the blue, flowered diaper bag on her shoulder.  (Em calls the color blue, but in reality it is more like turquoise.)

(As a side note, as we were packing for the trip, I even suggested to Em that we take the OSU backpack as the diaper bag.  She declined.)

So we are sitting in the boarding area waiting to board the plane and somehow it becomes my job to carry the diaper bag.  I only carry the bag down the ramp and onto the plane when a flight attendant looks at me......looks at the bag I'm carrying.......and says, "Nice bag.".....very sarcastically.  He then went on to say, "I can say that because I'm a male flight attendant."

As soon as we got to our seats a laughing Emily said, "You never have to carry it again."

My point is justified.
