Myrtle Beach

Our vacation this year was to meet my mom in Myrtle Beach, SC for about a week.  She had a condo about a block away from the ocean, and it also had an outdoor pool, an indoor pool, and a lazy river.

The vacation was great.  The adventure getting to Myrtle Beach was not great.  Here is what we dealt with:
- Our flight from Milwaukee to Baltimore was delayed 2 hours.
- We missed our connecting flight (Baltimore to Charleston) due to the delay.
- Our next flight leaving Baltimore was leaving around 8:45.  (Keeping us and Owen in airports over 12 hours that day)
- The 8:45 flight got cancelled.
- We stayed the night in Baltimore and got up at 5am to get 1st flight to Charleston.  On the way to airport in taxi Owen looked at me with a sad puppy dog look on his face and said, "No airport".  Poor guy couldn't take the boredom in airports anymore.
- We got to Charleston.  Our bags did not.
- we finally got our bags Thursday....allowing us to utilize the luggage we had packed for 1.5 days before we headed back to Milwaukee.

Feed the Deer

We went to a place in The Dells that you can Feed the Deer.  We weren't sure what to expect, but it turned out that you walk into these different gated areas where different kinds of deer live and they are so friendly and peaceful and obviously eat right out of your hand.  The Dude was very apprehensive at first (as you'll see in the pic where he is being held.  He didn't want to be put down.)  But soon thereafter, he was walking around feeding everything.

Very impressed with Owen for feeding this deer all by himself

Don't let "the barrier" fool you.  There was no barrier really.

Wisconsin Dells Trip

We decided to take a mini-vacation to the Dells to do a little swimming and sight seeing and just to get away for a couple days.  Our hotel had a very nice kids pool that the Dude loved.  (Em probably loved it more.)
