M&M Excitement
We aren't completely irresponsible parents. Despite how the previous posts may have sounded, we didn't give Owen free reign on his Easter candy. The vast majority of it we are saving to give to him as his dessert after a well eaten meal or a treat periodically.
It is so cute how excited he gets over the littlest things that I decided to video him getting this egg (which has about 5 M&Ms and 1 Rolo in it).
Check out his reaction:

Easter Egg Hunt
Not knowing how the egg hunt would go, we hid a few plastic eggs with M&M's and Rolos in them downstairs. We gave him a pail and brought him downstairs. No explanation was needed. He went crazy....running from one egg to the next. He was so excited and he didn't even realize that there was something inside the eggs.
Then he discovered his Easter Basket (with candy & other goodies)
New Hat & Lots of Candy
Decided we needed to work off some of that candy on a hike
Followed by a relaxing time on his favorite pillow
Easter Gifts from Opa & Grandma
Loved reading the card
Opened his Easter Chick
Can't get through this tissue paper fast enough
A firetruck book

Day at the Park
Wanting to get outside in his Canadian Tuxedo
Loves turning around the X's & O's
Absolutely REFUSED to go into the normal "baby swings"
once he saw that these fancy red ones were an option.
Peek-a-boo through the wood slats
Can I fit through?
Once again HAD to get into these red swings (much to Emily's chagrin
as these were not belted, but rather designed in a way to keep child in)
Rock Memorial
20 month old death grip on those handles

Milwaukee Zoo with Dad
The look on his face as we are heading to the zoo
Checking out the gator & the turtle
He loves the exibits where he doesn't have to be held to see the animals
He loves the aquariums
Checking out the tigers
Loved pointing at the meerkat standing on his log
Dad & The Dude
Mesmerized by all the birds flying around in the aviary
Baby animals all over the place
(this was also the media day for the new baby gorilla - not shown in this pic)
Relaxed but tuckered out after a morning at the zoo
(love how he crosses his feet)

Discovery World
Owen's 1st trip to Discovery World was a fairly successful one. While most of the exibits weren't exactly toddler friendly, he had a good time just looking around and participating in the exibits that did interest him.
Passively looking at fish in the aquarium
Actively looking at fish in the aquarium
On a ship (we liked to think of as a pirate ship)
that was hanging from the ceiling of Discovery World
Where do we go next?
Set the Sails
I see Mommy through these ropes
Mirrors all around
Having fun with the mirrors
Of course he loved the construction exibit
